O Tannenbaum

One of my loves in DC is Eastern Market. It's a farmers market in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, walking distance from our church.

We took advantage of this close proximity to pick up our tree, literally...

The inside of the north hall.

Right outside of the north hall.

Strong hubby, perfect tree, happy weekend.

Details, details

So, I'm getting some FAQ's and I thought I'd post them for all. Just in case your curious.

When are you due?

May 13 (Mother's Day)!

When did you find out?

September 7

First sonogram/first time to hear the heart beat?

September 29

Save me some math, how far along are you?

Today, November 30, I'm 16 weeks and 3 days.

How are you feeling?

Actually, great! I had "evening" sickness for about 4 weeks from wk 6-10.

Is this a surprise? Are you excited?

We prayed and hoped for a little one, though very grateful. We are thrilled!!! (Believe me, I have gotten these questions A LOT!)

Boy or Girl?

Don't know quite yet, our sonogram appointment is December 23.

Preference between the two?

Not at all, just praying for a healthy baby.

Names picked out yet?

No, we haven't really even talked about it!!!! Our name pow-wow's will occur once we know the gender.

Are you going to tell the name?

Nope! You all will have to wait for this surprise.

Cravings? Aversions?

I have been craving fruit and all milk products. No aversions to food, just to overwhelming smells.

There you go folks, hopefully this answers your questions! Baby bump picks to come... stay tuned!

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy- Ps. 126:3

Family, friends... the time has come to announce with joy, thankfulness and complete awe in the total greatness of God, that we are expecting our first child. We are almost 15 weeks pregnant and due May 13. Baby H, we can't wait to meet you and we are truly honored to be your parents, already....

Psalm 22:9- Yet you brought me safely from my mother’s womb and led me to trust you at my mother’s breast.

Psalm 71:6
Yes, you have been with me from birth; from my mother’s
womb you have cared for me.

Catchin' up and Berry Pickin'

Well, New Years Resolution 2011= total flop. Please forgive me, my friends.

There have been lots of work related trips here.....

I took advantage of EVERY trip to hang out with this little guy.

We've enjoyed a wonderful trip to Amelia Island to hang with the fam....

I've had a serious bout in the allergy department... are the allergy shots worth it? My answer is still, yes.

All in all, we're doing well!

This weekend, we had the opportunity to do a little berry pickin'. Seemed like an appropriate July 4th activity.

We spent the afternoon cleaning and freezing berries, and drinking Cheerwine (yes, we found Cheerwine in DC!!!) Hope you all had a great 4th!

Thankful.

As my birthday quickly approached this year (is it just me or does time seem to go more quickly the older you get?), I spent quite some time reflecting on the last 28 years of my life. I have been blessed beyond measure and the one descriptive word I can think of is- thankful.
I'm especially thankful for this guy..... thank you, Eric, for loving me so well!

MIA

Friends and family, thanks for your patience. Does anyone even read our blog anymore??? If not, it's ok- at least I know my mom does.... I need to brag about my husband for a bit. He recently went to Tampa for a dedication ceremony for a Chapel that HE designed (along with his amazing mentor JP)!

We've also been to Philly for a little get-away weekend. Three words to describe this weekend trip- cold, cold and freezing! Let's just say it's the coldest I have EVER been!

I was feeling a little fluffy... at least I'm warm, right? Anyways, can you guess this building in Philly? I'll give you a hint, insert Rockie theme song here......

Ok loves, I promise I'll be more consistent this year (it's a 2011 resolution). Until next time!
