Spring Fever

I am seriously suffering from seasonal affective disorder. It's been so cold, rainy and overcast...I'm so ready for spring. Thankfully, there's a camellia bush in our yard that gives me hope.

Even Luke's looking for spring.....

We've spent our days playing at the indoor kid area at the mall and bundled up swinging.

We've also been experimenting with finger foods. Luke loves kiwi and raspberries.

We're still here though, so please forgive the lapse in a blog post. We've hosted Amy for a weekend, then Grammie for a weekend, then Luke and I went to Atlanta for a week long work related trip. I probably hadn't mentioned this before, but I'm doing a little bit of consulting work on the side and a work trip was required.

En-route we had a F I V E, yes, FIVE hour delay in our flight. So, I tried to be creative as possible and Luke had to sleep in the Ergo (he's not a fan of sleeping in the Ergo now that he's older...). Let's just say we finally made it and the meeting was successful. We were able to see the Coons family while we were there, which was as total blessing.

Thanks Amy for the family photo!

Ergo nap.

the return flight home, right on schedule... thank you, Lord!

THEN.. dum, dum, dum. Luke got a crazy 24+ hour fever, which appeared out of no where on Sunday night/Monday morning. This was his first fever and it was rough- clingy, fussy, not eating, not sleeping, fun times.

Praise the Lord, though, Luke's on the mend today. Our happy boy is back and I couldn't stop taking pictures. :)

His appetite is also back! He woofed down some red beans and rice, that's my cajun boy!

That's about all that's going on here. I'll update again soon.

Lots of cuteness

Luke is crawling around like a camp and he's super fast. He is gaining more and more confidence with standing and trying to transfer to other surfaces. Here he is with his activity table.... it shouldn't surprise you that the music setting is his favorite.

Luke has a developed a HUGE appetite! He's currently eating lots of egg yolk, yogurt, bananas, pancakes, green beans, puffs, yogurt bites and carrots. I've started to just puree our food to make life easier and he loves it. His favorite food is kiwi. Yes, kiwi! I ate them nonstop when I was pregnant, so I guess that makes sense.

We've made several trips to the Carborro Fire Station to have his infant car seat checked and to have the convertible car seat installed. The firemen there are super sweet and let Luke sit in the truck. He was super excited and knew exactly what to do (see his hands on the wheel).

I'll leave you with one more... just precious. Booger on the cheek and all.
