2 week appointment

Well, technically it was a little late due to the holiday weekend. We're 18 days old and here are out stats from the Pediatrician today.

Head: 15cm (95%)
Height: 21 3/4 inches (91%)
Weight: 9lbs. 8oz (72%)

The other thing out of her mouth, "He's perfect". Yup, we'd have to agree.

Stats and an update!

So folks, we are officially 11 days old! Luke has had some big events this past week+.

  • His discharge weight was 8lbs 6oz. At the two day (05/18) Pediatrician visit, he was 8lbs 9oz. Today he was 8lbs 14oz. He's a feeding champ and it looks like at our 2 week Pediatrician visit we'll hopefully be back to his birth weight.
  • His belly button stump fell off yesterday (05/23), so today we had our first bath!!
  • His eyes are starting to focus more, he's much more alert and he's already trying to hold his head up.
  • He's doing great and we are totally in love.

You asked for them... current belly pictures!

Love it, I can balance dinner on my belly. Does it get much better than that!? I think not.

Kentucky Derby

Big hats, cute outfits, mint juleps.... who wouldn't want to go to the Derby?? Maybe one day. Be sure to be tuned in tomorrow on NBC at 4pm.

Until then, I'm rockin' the basketball!

**taken last weekend, 37.6 (practically 38) weeks. This is Santiago (Santi) Moncada, one of Eric's great friends here in DC. He was loving how much my belly looked like a basketball. So much so, we had to do some comparisons. It was a great night of Columbian food, laughs, stories and prayer. So thankful for Santi and Melinda Moncada.
