"Big wheels keep on turning, carry me home to see my kin...."

Well... it's not exactly home, but after spending so many years in Alabama for undergrad it definitely feels like my second home. This weekend I headed down to Gulf Shores Alabama to attend a wedding of a dear friend from Auburn. It was great to see her, meet her delightful family and catch up with old friends.

This picture is a little fuzzy, darn the humidity in Alabama. This is Caroline, Jeremy and little Jasper. Jeremy and the bride (Sarah) went to high school together and they were actually some of the first folks I met at Auburn.

Since Eric is out of the country for a work trip, this little guy was my date. Pretty cute, I must say.

Here's Sarah- looking amazing.... and here's Brad seeing her for the first time. Ahh, aren't weddings the best!? Many blessings to you Sarah and Brad and I hope ya'll come visit us in DC.

Amish Country- PA

For our anniversary getaway, we really need to "get away" from this:

(Yes, it can be quite beautiful, sometimes!)

And this......

On a side note- I wished it looked like this (empty and clean)....

And finally, we really really needed to get away from this!

Hence, Amish country. It doesn't get more laid back than that.....

4th Anniversary!

Four years ago yesterday, I married my kind, loving, hard working, smart, artistic, God fearing, sensitive, good looking, scotch drinking, cello loving husband! Eric is an amazing man and I am so incredibly thankful that God gave him to me as a husband and friend. He's getting better and better as the years go on....

Eric, I love you. Thank you for being you.
Here's to four great years and a fun get-away weekend!
