"Big wheels keep on turning, carry me home to see my kin...."

Well... it's not exactly home, but after spending so many years in Alabama for undergrad it definitely feels like my second home. This weekend I headed down to Gulf Shores Alabama to attend a wedding of a dear friend from Auburn. It was great to see her, meet her delightful family and catch up with old friends.

This picture is a little fuzzy, darn the humidity in Alabama. This is Caroline, Jeremy and little Jasper. Jeremy and the bride (Sarah) went to high school together and they were actually some of the first folks I met at Auburn.

Since Eric is out of the country for a work trip, this little guy was my date. Pretty cute, I must say.

Here's Sarah- looking amazing.... and here's Brad seeing her for the first time. Ahh, aren't weddings the best!? Many blessings to you Sarah and Brad and I hope ya'll come visit us in DC.

Weekend in the Windy City!

I had the opportunity to attend a CDC meeting in Chicago this past weekend- of course I took advantage of the location and hung out with Amy!!! It was absolutely beautiful and completely refreshing to be with one of my dearest friend.

California Here WE Come!!!

I went to San Diego last week for a business trip... and I thought it would be the perfect time to do a little California road trip. Eric met me in San Diego after lots and lots of plane drama, we rented a car, and drove to Santa Barbara. After two years we were finally able to visit with Ian and Brittany and meet their two precious little boys- Parker and Clayton. I am so blessed to have great friends even with distance.

Wynn Park Tribute.

I am really sad about leaving our neighborhood, Eric and I have been able to meet some incredible people. We all convene at Wynn Park at 6pm every night, while our dogs play we all have great conversations. Our dogs get along great and so do we. I don't know if Ella has any idea what a move is going to look like. She has been starting to wonder what is going on with all of the boxes all over our apartment, so this week I am going to make sure that Ella stays in her routine. I really hope that we are able to meet new doggie friends for her. Here are some of her buddies...

Meet Bailey, Ella's boyfriend.
