terrible!

what have we been up to since May you might ask? i really wish i could say that we have the most interesting lives ever, but we're pretty boring. we have celebrated our 1 year anniversary, got a dog and then got rid of a dog and our couch FINALLY arrived. so i guess that's our news for the past couple of months.

our 1 year anniversary was so fun! eric actually planned it and it was a surprise. we went up to the north georgia mountains, i know some of you are thinking.... what north georgia mountains??? but yes, there actually are "mountains" in north georgia or maybe i should say some really large hills. where we stayed was actually only 15 miles or so from the north carolina border, so we kind of felt like we were at home. the weather was cooler (can it really be cooler in august in the deep south) and it actually rained quite a bit. we were able to smell that fresh mountain rain smell. those of you from east tennessee, you know what i am talking about- and it's amazing. we went white water rafting on the chatooga river, which was a blast... and besides that just relaxed. we celebrated our anniversary dinner back in Atlanta at the most amazing steak place. we voted it into our top 10. it was seriously expensive, but you only have your 1 year once right???

as far as our cute little dog, Miles. we had him for a whopping 3 days. he was the sweetest, cutest dog you could ever want. he actually was a rescue dog that belonged to my mom...... it was a huge struggle for us to make the decision to give him back to my mom (she actually decided to keep him because he is so great!). but we felt like with my crazy allergies that we made the right choice. SO where do we move from here- a dog lover who wants a dog sooooooooo bad and finally talked her husband into it. i have made the decision to start allergy shots again and then get a dog in the near future. i WILL make it work.

finally, our couch made it!!!!!!!!!!!!! we ordered this beautiful couch the first week of may and we were told- 4-6 weeks. and as you can see, it's been way more than 4-6 weeks. but alas, this monday it was delivered. we are so excited about the new couch, because eric can actually fit on it laying down! if you ever come to visit, it's where you'll be sleeping.... so get excited.
anywho, i gotta get dinner on the table. sorry i've been a slacker, i love you all!
